Our School Phases
At Japari School we aim to foster the development of the whole child – academically, physically, emotionally and socially. We achieve this within the structure of a small, happy and nurturing school environment.
Foundation Phase
At Japari School, the Foundation Phase lays the crucial groundwork for a lifelong love of learning.
The primary goal during this phase is to foster curiosity, instil a passion for learning, and build the fundamental skills necessary for future academic success.

Our comprehensive learning program includes:
- English.
- Mathematics.

Therapies
Recognising the unique needs of each student, Japari School has a team of dedicated professionals within the Multi-disciplinary department. This team comprises Educational Psychologists, Academic Support coordinators, Occupational and Physiotherapists, as well as Speech-and-Language Therapists. Their collective expertise ensures that any Specific Learning Difficulties are identified and addressed according to individual requirements.
Importantly, our on-site therapies and remediation efforts are seamlessly integrated into the learning environment, minimising disruptions to class time. We provide a strong educational base and set the stage for students to thrive academically and personally throughout their schooling careers.
Intermediate Phase
In the Intermediate Phase at Japari School, we focus on nurturing your child’s love for learning, building on the foundation established earlier. Our goal is to help them become better thinkers and independent learners.
CAPS Curriculum
During this stage, your child transitions from learning to read to reading to learn. We emphasize thinking skills and applying knowledge while respecting diverse ideas and values. Subjects like English, Mathematics, and others are covered following the CAPS curriculum, with additional classes in Music, Art, Computers, and Physical Education.
Therapies
To support individual needs, our dedicated team, including Educational Psychologists and other specialists, ensures that any learning difficulties are addressed. We aim to guide your child through this phase, helping them grow academically and personally, so they are well-prepared for the future.
Senior Phase
The senior phase at Japari School, specifically Grade 7, is a crucial time for our pupils.
Our senior phase is designed to prepare pupils not just academically, but also socially and emotionally, ensuring they are well-rounded individuals ready for the challenges of high school and beyond.
