Who we are

Connecting Teachers who Care with Children who Matter

Japari is a small, independent, multi-denominational, multi-cultural school. At Japari, we strive towards developing well-rounded individuals who display optimum growth and progress on a physical, intellectual, scholastic, emotional and social-interpersonal level. This has been our aim since Japari first opened in 1966.

Today we support approximately190 students. Our success is achieved through the collaboration of a Multi-disciplinary team of educators trained in learning support, reading therapists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and psychologists. A holistic approach coupled with a nurturing environment, enables and encourages all our learners to achieve to the best of their ability and to re-integrate into mainstream schools as soon as they are ready.  At Japari we believe in developing the child holistically and working on strengths to overcome weaknesses.

Japari follows the National Curriculum and CAPS. All foundation phase learners attend Art, Drama, Music, Physical Education and Computer lessons.
