Therapy, in the school day
Recognising the unique needs of each pupil, Japari School has a team of dedicated professionals in its multi-disciplinary department: educational psychologists, academic support coordinators, occupational therapists and physiotherapists, and speech and language therapists. Their collective expertise makes sure that each child’s learning needs are identified and addressed.
Our on-site therapies and remediation are integrated into the learning environment, minimising disruptions to class time.
Therapy that serves the learning
For sixty years, Japari has put learning and support side by side. Therapy is planned with the class teacher around each child’s individual education plan, so it strengthens what happens in the classroom rather than taking its place.
Your child gets the support they need, when they need it. The rest of the day is what school should be: lessons, friends, sport and play.

Support is set out in your child’s individual education plan and reviewed as they progress.

Therapy is integrated into the learning environment, so time out of class is kept to a minimum.

From 2027, we are offering a comprehensive therapy programme as part of the school’s offering.
Grades 1 to 5
Group therapy, plus individual speech and occupational therapy on a set, rotating timetable, included in the school fees.
Grades 6 and 7
Pupils continue to receive the necessary support where required.
Additional therapy
If you would like your child to receive therapy beyond the level of support set by the multi-disciplinary team, this can be arranged privately with the relevant therapist.
